Want to lose weight easier and faster? Well, one of the things I’ve talked about is a low carb diet but imagine that in conjunction with a faster basal metabolic rate, that would be even better. That’s why we’ve created a list of the 7 best ways to boost your BMR – which is short for Basal Metabolic Rate.
- Get more higher quality sleep with less interruptions
Getting less sleep than required has been shown to reduce metabolism, studies have shown that getting 8 hours of sleep in succession is much more effective than a sleeping period where your sleep was fragmented into several different periods. Make sure to get enough sleep to prevent your metabolism from slipping, if you get less sleep than required your brain will start to increase cortisol levels which will screw with your metabolism for the rest of the day.
- Eat some spicy foods containing capsaicin
Eating spicy foods will accelerate metabolism, increase bodily function and increase the rate of glycogen reserve depletion, this effect is linked to several different flavonoids such as Capsaicin, which is found in many different types of spicy food and is responsible for the spicy feeling and increased heart rate + effects of spiciness in the body. Eat some hot peppers, wasabi, hot sauce, garcinia cambogia (not technically a spicy thing but it will dramatically increase metabolic rate – read garcinia cambogia reviews writen by customers if you want to buy) and tabasco for this effect. This effect is quite temporary unfortunately, nonetheless it’s still quite a good thing to hear about.
This is the rest of the tips:
- Eat healthier
- Reduce stress levels in your life
- Drink coffee
- Exercise more to gain muscle
- Walk at least 30 minutes a day
